ERIC GIBENS

president / ceo

Eric Gibens, president and CEO of Redmagnet, Inc. and Gibens Creative Group, graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1995. After graduating, Eric moved to Raleigh, NC where he completed a 12-month Industrial Technology Internship with Textile Clothing Technology Corporation, a recognized provider of solutions for the sewn products and related soft goods industries specializing in technology development and supply chain improvement. Eric relocated to Aguascalientes, Mexico to work for Lucky Star de Mexico. While working with Lucky Star de Mexico, Eric worked in the engineering department conducting time studies and rate reviews. He oversaw Lucky Star de Mexico’s second manufacturing facility and served as Customer Relations liaison to Levi Strauss, Eddie Bauer, Old Navy, and Anchor Blue.

Recognizing an opportunity in his hometown of Tupelo, MS, Eric returned to establish Redmagnet, Inc. in May of 1999. By March of 2000, Redmagnet, Inc. acquired four additional companies and consolidated them into a fully integrated IT service provider. Focusing on client needs, Eric expanded the Redmagnet Web Department in 2004. Gibens Creative Group was established to offer complete integrated design concepts including: identity and branding, graphic design, custom website development, e-commerce solutions, print production, photography, video production, media planning and placement.

Eric is a graduate of Community Development Foundation’s Community Leadership Institute, a two-year program designed to enhance community leadership development and to enhance personal and professional growth. He also serves on the board of directors, the performing arts commission, and marketing commission for the Link Centre, Northeast Mississippi’s premier regional and cultural service center. In addition to the Link Centre, Eric serves on the board of directors of the Police Athletic League (PAL). PAL is a youth crime prevention program that utilizes educational, athletic and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between police officers and youth.

Since 1993, Eric has been a part-time Certified Police Officer for the Tupelo Police Department Reserve Division, a volunteer organization. He currently serves as the Reserve Division Coordinator.
