The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association relaunched its Web site this week, unveiling a new look and a new focus for the nonprofit group’s online presence.

In addition, the organization relaunched its site for the Tupelo Elvis Presley Festival. DTMSA puts on the annual event in downtown Tupelo.

Tupelo-based Gibens Creative Group designed both sites.

The new site for the organization, www.tupelomainstreet.com, has pictures of downtown and prominently features places where people can shop, dine, play, stay and live.

It also has links to DTMSA’s social media presence via its blog, Twitter feed, Facebook page and RSS feed. Already, DTMSA marketing specialist Megan Daniel said the association has 190 friends on Facebook.

With the new site, Brangenberg said the organization changed the content focus toward tourists and residents, instead of information about the Main Street group.

“We’re trying to give more information about what you can do downtown,” she said.

Information about the organization is on the site, but is not as prominently featured.

The focus of the Tupelo Elvis Presley Festival Web site, www.tupeloelvisfestival.com, hasn’t changed. It remains the online destination to find out information about the festival, including the events schedule and the music lineup.

Also, the site features an e-commerce area where festival tickets and paraphernalia are for sale.
