Chad Anderson graduated in 1997 from Mississippi State University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Painting/Illustration. After graduating, Chad began developing his foundational skills as a pre-press graphic artist. Working a series of freelance graphic design projects, Chad produced album cover art and layouts, as well as other related promotional print projects for a series of independent music labels around the country. In 1998, Chad began employment with Johnson & Jones Advertising in Meridian, Mississippi. There, in addition to designing pre-press graphics for print production projects, he began working with video production, fulfilling roles in all production areas by shooting, editing, lighting and even occasionally serving as the talent in the productions.
While working for Johnson & Jones, Chad was offered the opportunity to return to Mississippi State University to pursue a Masters degree within their Electronic Visualization program. Taking advantage of such an opportunity, Chad earned his Master of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Multimedia. The experience gained while earning this degree, as well as his previous ad agency work experience, afforded Chad the opportunity to take on a position handling print, web, and video production for Marathon Equipment Company in Vernon, Alabama. Working with Marathon Equipment, Chad produced and designed dynamic tradeshow graphics, signage and publications, company product literature, as well as website design/development. He was also instrumental in bringing the company video production in-house and coordinating many on-location product shots around the United States.
Chad left Marathon Equipment Company and joined RedMagnet, Inc. in 2004 as a graphic artist handling web design and all pre-press print production projects. He has been a key player in helping to expand the company into a full-service, creative agency, Gibens Creative Group in 2007, offering integrated design concepts.
