
Education: Alejandra Yepez Lopez joins Gibens Creative Group as the Senior Programmer in the area of web and software development. Alejandra graduated in 2010 with a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering with honors from Mississippi State University. She earned her bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering in 2005 from Universidad de Oriente (Venezuela). She was mentioned Magna Cum Laude. Alejandra has completed extensive research in the areas of Software Engineering, Requirements Engineering, Software Reuse and Computer Security.
Employment History: Prior to joining Gibens Creative Group, Alejandra was a graduate research assistant at Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University. She was responsible for finding vulnerabilities in Modbus and DNP3 protocols in the Scada systems. She also served as the web developer for the project of Public Safety Data Laboratory. Her duties were developing an internal and public charts web site for the Mississippi Highway Patrol under the direction of Dr. Arthur G. Cosby.
From 2007 to 2009, Alejandra was a software specialist and consultant senior in Cavallin Attias Sistemas in an Outsourcing to CITIBANK VE. She designed, developed, implemented and provided production support to Citibank's internal systems in Venezuela; and developing, testing, and implementing the payment clearing system of Citibank (ACH).
Alejandra also worked as a system analyst in Accenture where she developed, tested, and provided production support to applications for CANTV telecommunication company. While completing her bachelor's degree, she completed an internship in Petrozuata oil and gas company where she developed an automated information system for real time production equipments.
Honors: During her career, Alejandra has had the honor to present the paper "Soft Systems in Requirements Engineering: A Case Study" in conjunction with Dr. Nan Niu in the 22nd International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering in San Francisco, California. She also was a teacher assistant of the course Programming I at Universidad de Oriente during one semester.
